Dynamic Yoga Program

Excessive pressure and demands for increased productivity effects staff performance. Yoga equips staff with the strength and flexibility to triumph in the day-to-day workplace challenges.

 Jane Ribinskas, director of yogaconcepts, offers corporate clients a Dynamic Yoga Beginners Course based on Ashtanga Yoga. The course is suited for students who have limited or no previous yoga experience.

Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic form of Yoga linking the breath to the movement (vinyasa). It incorporates a series of progressive postures, with experienced participants jumping from one pose to another to build strength, flexibility and stamina. With focused breathing the mind is stilled, facilitating meditation whilst in motion. This form is ideal for those wanting a physical work out, yet still gaining the benefits of a calm, focussed mind.

The course options include:

Lunch time class - 1 hr; and
After-work class - 1 or 1.5 hrs
Courses run weekly over eight - ten consecutive weeks.

Gentle Yoga Program

Jane Ribinskas, director of yogaconcepts, also offers corporate clients a Gentle Yoga Beginners Course based on Classical Hatha Yoga. The course is suited for students who have no previous or limited yoga experience and prefer a softer, gentler yoga style.

Hatha Yoga balances the body, mind and spirit in a soothing, rejuvenating way. It uses gentle postures and breathing to awaken the subtle energies and attunes you to higher levels of awareness. This form of yoga includes guided relaxation creating a gentle inward experience, not an athletic or aerobic outcome.

Pilates on the Mat 8 - 10 x week programs

Pilates is a method of physical and mental conditioning. A method is a means used to attain an end - the conditioning of the mind and body into a fused state of readiness. Developed by Joseph Hubertus Pilates, he originally called his method contrology - the complete co-ordination of body and mind.

"Physical fitness is a requisite of happiness. Our interpretation of physical fitness is the attainment and maintenance of a uniformly developed body with a sound mind fully capable of naturally, easily and satisfactorily performing our many and varied daily tasks with spontaneous zest and pleasure."

Pilates focuses on building core strength and body awareness. This is helpful in correcting weaknesses in the body. Pilates was designed for injured dancers with rigourous routines to recover and continue performing. It is now available for everyone.

Massage as required

Head and shoulder massage by qualified practitioners is a perfect way for staff to relax and relieve tension that can build up whilst sitting at the work station. We have found from past experience this helps improve staff moral and performance at work. We visit you by appointment. Full body massage can be arranged.


Self-Shiatsu Program

In today’s pressured lifestyle with constant ongoing demands, optimised health and well being is highly sought after.
Most people look outside of themselves for help to improve their health. Self-Shiatsu is designed for staff to learn skills to administer self-massage, to improve well being, self-discovery and naturally enhance performance.
This technique complements other well being programs.

Self - Shiatsu is an organised series of self -massages, light finger pressures and breathing done to regulate the vital energy flow (Ki) in the body and mind of the doer. The advantage of self-shiatsu is that it can be performed on one’s own body. It requires no outside assistance or extensive technical know how. Positive results can be achieved within the very first session. Self - Shiatsu works on the same principle as acupuncture it uses no needle or any other device, mainly finger or palm pressure, stimulating tsubos or pressure points. The doer is able to regulate the energy for either tonification or calmness. It can be performed at a regulated time on a daily basis or whenever required even during the day sitting at the workstation.

Eight Steps to Stillness Meditation Program

Taught by Jane Ribinskas as developed over ten years by Jani Baker Director of Australian Classical School of Yoga.

8 week Introduction to Stillness Meditation Program

Offering you an introduction to stillness meditation, over eight weeks the program is based on stilling the thought waves. With this style of meditation it identifies the interplay of the push and pull of the mind and we aren't just our thoughts. With time you cultivate witness consciousness and gain the experience of going beyond thought and reawakening the intuition, higher self or inner wisdom and greater energy in the mind to improve memory and general health.
Over the eight weeks a different technique is offered each week to give the mind structure in preparing for stilling the thought waves to experience beyond thought.
The mind can be very busy. Often the individuals with an untrained mind can find it difficult to stop their thoughts from racing in their mind which can interfere with healthy sleep regimes or general concentration. By learning a variety of techniques, individuals generally find a way that works best for them in stilling the thoughts.
The course is simple yet structured and progressive with a variety of practical techniques taught to focus the mind and train the participant to still the thought waves. The classes are for 1 hr with the method practised for generally twenty minutes and the rest of the time is avail for the group to discuss their experience for feed back.

Participants are required to meditate for 20 minutes each day for
maximum benefit of the program.
This technique if grasped can generate deep positive transformational
change.

Transformational Breathing Program™

Transformational Breathing is a dynamic, deep diaphramic breathing system combined with stretching and toning exercises. Its focused methodology consciously charges the body with large amounts of oxygen that quickly increases energy levels and speeds up the metabolism to a high rate to burn excess fat. It also revitalises the body and mind, truly generating transformation.

It is a suitable activity for people of most age groups and fitness levels with a low risk of injury. The exercises are performed on the spot with low impact movements and does not require any equipment.

Transformational Breathing is unique and transforms the individual on all levels. It combines ancient yogic breathing techniques, activation of energy along meridian channels, chakra balancing and integration of body- mind awareness to create a calm, yet highly energised state.

Level 1 Transformational Breathing™ -Skills and technique
Level 2 Transformational Breathing™ - Extend
Level 3 Transformational Breathing™ -Challenge breathing

The participants are individually monitored with the breathing and exercise system and progressed through the step-by-step program to experience the more challenging aspects.
Once the program is complete participants are assessed again to ascertain progress .The participants will also be asked to continue practise on a daily basis for 15 minutes for sustained and continued results.
